The CPSA was organized early in 1971 for the purpose of promoting Cuban philately and philatelic friendship among its members. We sponsor studies and research in the stamps and postal history of Cuba. We are committed to assisting our membership, and the public in general, in becoming more familiar with all aspects of Cuban philately and we look forward towards sharing that knowledge with you through our website.

We have grown from a small group of collectors of the Miami area in Florida to several hundred members throughout the world. Even though most of our membership resides in the United States, we have members in Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Our members range in philatelic knowledge and caliber from beginning collectors to grand award medal winners at international philatelic exhibitions, members of multiple philatelic organizations, members of accredited expertization committees, international exhibition judges, and authors of numerous works of Cuban and general philately.

Our society publishes a tri-annual English-Spanish bilingual journal The Cuban Philatelist containing articles primarily on Cuban philately. The CPSA also runs tri-annual auctions of primarily Cuban philatelic material and literature where members dispose of their surplus items. Our website contains news and announcements to keep our members informed of Society meetings, activities, and events.

We hope you find our society of interest to you and we welcome any inquiries you may have both about our society or about any aspect of Cuban philately regardless of whether you are thinking of joining us or not.
